Important IgniteHope Meeting
posted by: Admin on 26 March 2008 @ 16:24

Hi there,

We are putting on a meeting on Tuesday 1st April at the City Temple Cardiff, 7.30pm.

The reason for this meeting is to:

1. Get more people on board
2. Take you through the project and how it will work
3. To go over any issues that people have with the project
4. To get you excited for it!

IgniteHope is rapidly on it's way, and we need your full support, it would be great if you could make this one.. If you know anyone who doesn’t know much about what is going on then bring them with you..

Please could you let us know if you are coming by emailing

Thank you

God Bless

Hey guys,

Just a short note to tell you a bit about IgniteHope! If some of you were at the event on Sunday 16th you would have heard a bit about it. At the moment we are busy planning, getting people like YOU on board. We need you and your youthgroup to be involved!

Th event is happening on the first bank holiday in May 2008, 2nd-5th. It is going to be awesome to see this generation getting out there in South Wales, showing people the love of Jesus Christ!

Do you know about IgniteHope? If not, email us on () or ().

Hi there guys!

This is the youth leader section of the IGNITE web site! We realize that it’s not the greatest youth leader page that you have ever seen and due to the busyness of the office and the amount of work that our web designer has already, we are finding it hard to keep on top of it all.

We didn’t want to just leave it looking bare and depressing so we thought we would put some good links to other cool youth leader sites that we have found.

Our intention is in the future to make this page better for you guys and to have stuff on here that will aid you in your ministry. For the time being we hope that this is of some use to you and to quote an advert that we are all getting sick of ‘every little helps!’

God Bless

7 MYTHS OF YOUTH MINISTRY
posted by: Abi on 20 December 2005 @ 02:10

Your main motivation for working with Young people should be a belief that God has called you to a vital ministry and you should consider yourself a minister of the gospel

TO ALL YOU YOUTH LEADERS OUT THERE! This is a book for you.

This book is written by our very own Nigel James and Gary Smith. It challenges 7 myths that people believe are true of youth ministry. It discusses questions such as do young people lack commitment? Is the size of a youth group important? And do you really make a difference in your one-hour week?

It is written simply with a not beating around the bush attitude. It’s one of those books that can be speed read in two hours but the message is so poignant that its content should be digested properly. It is challenging and in some areas conflict with the views that some of us would hold dear to. My challenge to you fine-looking youth leaders is certainly read this and do so with the prayer that God will speak to you individually through this and help change your ministry from cold, lukewarm or even hot to volcanic!
Interested? Have a look in the Shop on the Ignite home page.

SUPERHERO – FAKE_LUNAR_LANDING

This is a Christian band that is well worth checking out!

The five piece band that hails from Scotland have released their second album Fake Lunar Landing. Their sound is a cross between Athlete and Keene and when first listening to them you get the feeling that they are like a lot of other bands but give this album a chance. The more you listen to it, the more depth you hear. The lyrics are excellent with a strong message of God all the way through and with memorable tunes this album has a lot to offer. The production of the album is fantastic and with Alan Blanch at the helm who has worked with Blur, U2 and Daniel Bedingfield why wouldn’t it be! The vocals are strong and the instruments played with skill!

You really should check these guys out!

Verdict – 8/10
