Ignite Africa Director Emmanuel Jonah and his wife Wintee will be travelling to Ghana on the 19th Dec to train the new Ignite team there. They will be away from all their children for Christmas, the youngest of which is just 2. Urgent prayer needed for Liberia

Liberia is in the throws of an election that has proved very difficult and violence has broken out in some areas. Sadly the radio station owned by ELWA which Ignite Liberia were hoping to use to do regular Christian broadcasts has been burnt down. The situation in Monrovia where the Ignite Liberia team is based is very tense, with several people having been killed. Ignite Liberia Centre Managers and Coordinators get together

Following the return to Liberia of Emmanuel Jonah, Ignite Africa’s Director, from the USA a meeting was held with some of the Centre Managers and Co-ordinators to discuss the ongoing work of Ignite. Emmanuel has been in the USA for over a month with Samuel aged 8 who has recently come into the Jonah family. Samuel had surgery on both hands but unfortunately has had to stay in the USA until October for treatment and to allow the Drs to monitor his healing. Please pray for this little boy ...

Ignite Empowerment retreat weekend in Liberia

I am pleased to submit to you a report covering an empowerment retreat for youth leaders in Gbarnga over the weekend. The retreat was held on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at the Chief Compound School facilities from 8am to 4pm. There were 65 youth leaders and workers in total. Emmanuel travels to Sierra Leone

Emmanuel Jonah Ignite’s Liberia Director travelled to Sierra Leone to host a conference for the Ignite Sierra Leone team and to encourage them in the work they are doing. Here is his report. Resources arrive in Liberia

Thanks to the Samaritans Purse helping to ship resources to Liberia Ignite was able to send a significant number of items out to encourage the team there. These included books, t-shirts and declaration cards. As you can see from the photos the Ignite Liberia team have immediately put the resources to good use. Greetings from Stephen Wonbenyakeh in Liberia Praise God all went well today amidst the challenge posed by the Devil since yesterday. Shadrach was readmitted at the clinic this morning because he kept vomitting and his stomach kept pinning over the night. The devil's whole intent was to disrupt the training, but we thank God that He pravailed over the enemy. Altogether we had 105 persons in attendance. 10 churches were represented in total.
