Ignite: Liberia

From April 2007, Ignite have been partnering with a young man called Emmanuel Jonah in the north-west African country of LIBERIA.

Emmanuel and his wife Wintee head up Liberia Christian Ministries International and he tells us that "my wife and I have made a commitment to God, to be used as the hands and feet of Jesus in Liberia and the world at large. We are grateful to God for this connection and your willingness to develop a relationship with us in Liberia."

"We consider this opening as a great opportunity to share Jesus with many lost souls in both countries, run conferences for young people, and to fellowship in the Lord. We are excited about this, and look forward to seeing what God is going to do through our relationship in the future."

Already Emmanuel has been organising weekly Ignite meetings for young people in the capital city, Monrovia, and we have sent over many Ignite resources for them to benefit from. Emmanuel says: "We have lots of young people that need to be reached and discipled. We can use the discipleship declaration to encourage and work with young people. I am willing to establish ignite in Liberia, a ministry that will train, encourage, disciple and conduct seminars for young people."

Only a few months after Ignite started in the capital, Monrovia, two other young people- Reuben and Emmanuel, have started Ignite meetings in the city of Gbarnga.
In a recent email, Emmanuel Jonah said:

Greetings from Ignite Liberia!!
Kindly be informed that we are grateful to God for what He is doing in Liberia through Ignite. God continue to work in the lives of young people. Some of them have given their lives to the Lord and are active in their churches. We are grateful to God for the opportunity to work with young people. It is fun working with them and listening to all the questions about God, Jesus Christ, and how does one become save. We believe that all this is happening because you are praying with us.
The two groups are growing. Pray for the following:

Pray that more young people will come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ;

Pray for Reuben and Emmanuel Gray as they serve as Ignite coordinators in Gbarnga;

Pray for strength as we spread the Gospel and work with young people;

Pray for God's protection as we travel back and forth to spread God's word;

Pray for committed people to join us in spreading the vision;

Pray for my dear wife Wintee as she attend JETS Seminary this semester(Program-Education)

Pray that our lives will please God.
