How can we help your Church?

The Ignite Cymru team are a group of young people working under the leadership of the charity Big Ideas. Their purpose is to work in Secondary schools on behalf of local churches anywhere in Wales. The team is able to offer a variety of Religious Education lessons and their presence in a school can be a positive way to strengthen the existing relationship between a church and a local school, or even to establish that relationship.

Big Ideas has a ten-year history of working in schools all over England and Wales. They have regularly taken RE lessons in High Schools in Cardiff and often lead week-long missions into schools in collaboration with local churches.

Requirements from the church:

Initial contact and liaison with the school
Period of time would be typically a full five day week
Accommodation and food for team if too far to travel from the team base in Dinas Powys
Packed lunches during school day
Donation to Big Ideas to assist with travel and equipment costs
Prayer cover for the team leading up to, during and after the visit
