So, what is Ignite?

Ignite began in 2000 by Nigel James and Gary Smith, as a 6 part declaration that an ever increasing number of young people are signing. Although based in Cardiff, Wales, the Ignite initiative has spread all over the UK and has begun to grow globally.

Each Ignite signee recieves a laminated card (like a credit card) that they can keep in their purse or wallet.

So, what is Big Ideas?

Big Ideas is the parent charity of Ignite. They manage events, host tours & promotions and represent musical artists.

How do I join Ignite?

You don't exactly join! You sign the declaration and we keep in touch with you by email and through the post.

You can sign the declaration online which will cost £1 + p&or at an IGNITE event which will cost £1

Sign the Declaration? >>

Can anyone sign the declaration?

Yes - providing you are serious before God about living out the principles! Although aimed at teenagers and young people, many youth leaders choose to sign the declaration too. IGNITE works across all the evangelical denominations and streams.

Where is Ignite based?

IGNITE was birthed by Big Ideas, a Christian charity based in Cardiff, but has quickly spread all over the UK and even further afield.

Would you visit my church?

We believe in working across denominations and across town or city areas. Every year we arrange a tour where we partner with churches, or groups of churches, in towns or cities, who have the same vision for area wide discipleship as we do. We also run mission opportunities in the UK and abroad.

Do you provide resources?

Yes- as well as the card we produce "Bible Bits to Ignite your life" daily readings through Scripture Union, the book "IGNITE- God's purpose for this generation", tapes, tracts, and a merchandise range. See the Resources and Shop sections for more details

Are there any famous people who have signed the declaration?

How about.... Andy Hawthorne, Rebeccas St. James, Cameron Dante, the Archbishop of Canterbury and of course, YOU!
